Parathas In The US

Today I came across a post describing 'Red Bean Parathas'. And Hey, these parathas are making ripples even in the US. Although I have never tried the Red Bean Parathas as mentioned in the post but I can just imagine it to be marvelous. And I think these Red Bean Parathas would be like some sweet stuffed pancake. Parathas are basically an Indian (specifically North Indian) recipe. These are prepared using wheat flour and can be stuffed with Potato , Onion, Radish, Carrot, etc. In India, parathas form a part of breakfast and 'Aaloo Parathas' (parathas stuffed with potatoes) are the most preferred. These taste marvellous when eaten with some butter. So Blurmommy next time you happen to visit that or any other Asian store, do not forget to ask if they have Parathas with the above mentioned stuffings (you can ask for Paneer Paratha also).
