Infomercial king Billy Mays, famous for appearing on infomercials and commercials promoting household goods and gadgets, has been found dead inside his Tampa, Fla., home at 7:45 am on Sunday. He was found unresponsive at his home this morning by his wife. However, Tampa police are not suspecting any foul play. Mays is reported to be on board a US Airways flight that blew its front tires while it landed at Tampa airport on Saturday. It was reported that certain passengers had bumps and bruises. However, the authorities have not confirmed or said anything about this incident being the reason of Mays death.Mays wife is reported to have said, "Although Billy lived a public life, we don't anticipate making any public statements over the next couple of days. Our family asks that you respect our privacy during these difficult times...".
Born William Mays in McKees Rocks, Pa., on July 20, 1958, Billy Mays gathered fame by appearing in TV commercials for products such as Oxiclean and Orange Glo. He was also featured on the reality TV show "Pitchmen" on the Discovery Channel, which followed Mays and Anthony Sullivan in their marketing jobs.
